Hoveton & Wroxham Medical Centre

"A helping hand to help your body help itself"

Established in August 2016, Maxine McFarland's Osteopath-on-the-Broads clinic is in operation every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, by pre-arranged appointment, in the Broads Suite at the Hoveton & Wroxham Medical Centre, near Norwich.

For those people who are newcomers to Osteopathy, it is a highly skilled manual therapy which offers an effective treatment and management option for most musculo-skeletal problems which affect people at all stages of their life, from pregnancy and birth through to old age. Maxine qualified from London's prestigious British School of Osteopathy in 2006, after which she joined an established multi-disciplinary practice covering a large area of East Yorkshire. Since then she has been using her skills to successfully treat hundreds of patients and offer them the constructive advice they need to manage their conditions. As a qualified massage and sports therapist, Maxine combines these different techniques with osteopathy to put together treatment and exercise packages individually tailored to suit the lifestyle of her patients and relieve their symptoms.

Now that Maxine has set up her own practice in a busy, modern NHS centre here in Broadland she looks forward to meeting and helping new patients in the locality. The clinic boasts all modern facilities including plenty of free, off-road parking, individual waiting rooms and full-disabled access and amenities.

Our phone is turned on 24/7. Call 07561227802 for advice or to book an appointment leave a message and Maxine will get back to you.

What our customers are saying about us.

Carol Randall. "I recently went to see Maxine about a shoulder injury. I found her very professional, friendly to talk to and understanding. She gave me 'homework' exercises to do which were really beneficial. Her expertise is second to none and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending her to anyone in need of a good osteopath. She would always be my 'go to' person if I needed help again."

Simon Ladd. "Excellent therapist. I contacted Maxine with lower back pain three weeks before a flight to Australia. The treatments and exercises shown and explained to me allowed me to have a pain free and comfortable flight. Recommended without hesitation."

Anne Gillespie. "Endless thanks for your support and help. I recovered from the last op. and knee problems, with your help, and I am now 3-4 stone lighter, swim a lot and feel human again. IOU a very great deal!"

Chris Shepard. "Thank you for all the help you've given me over the last six or so years!"

Tim Ellis. "I recently had cause to call on the sevices of Maxine at Osteopath-on-the-Broads. Recurrent episodes of back pain over the years, while largely being kept at bay by visits to a Chiropractor, had flared up worse than ever after I spent too much time bent double working in a bathroom. Max was great from the outset, she gave me excellent advice on managing things until my appointment, namely ice packs and the correct painkillers/anti-inflammatorys. I had a total of three appointment, during which Max was able to pinpoint the problem, deal with it with what I assume would be termed manipulation/massage and give me more advice and stretching/strenghtening exercises to hopefully eliminate the chance of a recurrence. I have gone from being almost immobilised to virtually complete recovery in about a month. I can touch my toes again and am looking forward to a return to my usual active lifestyle, but being more careful about lifting silly weights etc. Thanks Max!
