About Osteopathy

Without becoming too technical, osteopathy is a manual approach to treating the many physiological systems of the body using articulatory, massage and manipulation techniques. The founder of the original osteopathic college in America discovered that the body had many regulatory mechanisms in place to restore health and function by itself, and so he promoted osteopathic treatment as a means of speeding up the process. In simple terms, you might like to think of it as “a helping hand, to help your body help itself”. For more information see FAQs.
